It has nice ceramic headers..2.75 pipe coming of the collector and the damn right pipe makes 90 degree turn at a right angle into the left at the south of a tiny universal cat...aaaarghh
No wonder that 454 feels a tad sluggish no i just have to find someone i can get to fix it...going to run both pipes out the pass side behind the tire at about 60 degrees, done all three Burbans like that

Unless you have emissions restrictions I would punch the cats out. They should be behind the trans crossmember.

If I wasn't so ball tied by my local emissions, I would have headers and duals and no or punched cats... :sad72:

I'm actually thinking about running just a straight 3" pipe off the header and turn it down under the truck. I have heard there are guys who run mud trucks with just open headers and Antique Tags but I'm sure they dont live right in the middle of the ******, I mean city. Thought about doing cutouts too.

If you had been under as many cars and trucks as i have you are constantly amazed at what people will do to save a dollar.
I dont even know what they were thinking when they did this.

It's really odd to me around here because on the newer stuff that run super efficiently already they check everything and really go over it to make sure that it passes emissions but then on stuff like my truck that does not run efficiently I can do what ever the heck I want and they don't care! To me this is backward thinking. Am I going to bring this up to anyone that can do anything about it? Absolutely NOT but it's still pretty bass akwards! :D

I wanted to try those cast iron remote cable controlled cut-outs JCW has, but I think they are illegal here....

For whatever reason, the PO of my K30 put headers, duals (3in) and cutouts with Flowmaster mufflers farther back. I really wish the cutouts weren't there, they are hard to keep sealed up. I don't see the point in them anyway, it's plenty loud enough with the caps on.

Performance. If there was no performance gain it wouldn't even be an issue at the race between street class and super street.

I guess I just didn't think it could make much difference over dual 3 inch pipes. It's just a mild 454 as far as I know.
