Traded for a new project this past Saturday. I traded a pistol I had laying around collecting dust for a 1984 Sport Coupe Camaro that has sat for awhile. It's a 305, 700R4, 10 bolt, T-Tops. The guy I got it from pulled it and two others out of a field north of Tulsa, OK. He received them as a payment for hauling a bunch of stuff off for the old man that owned them. The 305 that was originally in this car was replaced with the 305 in it now. Car was last tagged 15 years ago.. lol

It's missing a bunch of interior pieces like the console, and some bezels and stuff, but I plan on fixing it up how I want it anyway. Body is fairly nice on it, no rust through anywhere I could find. It's got the E4ME Quadrajet which I'm gonna rebuild. Car was valued by the guy at $400, I figured the Engine/Trans/Axle are worth more than that if I need to part it out or something, which isn't planned.

I currently can't really put anything into it, I have to sit on it a few months then start paperwork for an OK title 42, which is basically procedure to get a title for a vehicle, etc. that has been lost.

Anyway, here she is, I'll be updating this once I start doing stuff to it in the coming months. For now though I'm focused on getting my C10 back up and running.

More pics, bout the only rust through I could find on the car was the battery tray. The floor boards and wheel wells are solid.

I got it to crank over and fire off the other day, wouldn't stay running though. So I bought a kit for the E4ME Quadrajet, a new float, and a filter and I start disassembly. I just went as far as taking the air horn off and cleaned the inside and started replacing the parts needed in a normal rebuild. Wound up the Accelerator Pump was old and brittle so it broke, gotta pick up a new one from O'Reilly's Thursday.

Carb was full of nasty crap, looked like a dirt daubers nest was in there too...

Also decided that when I get the title and tag for the car(I'll be starting the paperwork in August) I'm gonna get some headers, a high flow cat, and a Spintech 344SC muffler for the car.

Well this CCC Quadrajet is no go, started leaking gas out of the space the internal filter goes, took the nut back out and found it has two or three stripped threads, don't really like the idea of this CCC Quadrajet anyway, so I'm gonna swap out the intake, carb, and distributor for non CCC stuff as soon as I get the title and tag for the car. Also need a coil for it.

Seems impossible to change the freaking spark plugs on this engine with the factory manifolds and all the smog stuff too, so I'll be installing headers when I do the exhaust on it.

You can just remove all the injection lines that screw into the manifolds, with pipe plugs in their place. Spark plug access after that is very easy. I like my old Edelbrock TES headers, they fit very very well and are of very good quality, unfortunately they are out of production. I've installed a couple other brands on friends cars, the fit was OK. Or you can just install manifolds from a TPI car, they are larger and use a y-pipe with a 3 inch outlet.

An Edelbrock Performer intake and a drop-base air cleaner will clear the stock hood.

Didn't think about the pipe plugs.. Either way it goes, car was gonna get exhaust eventually, especially since the muffler is falling apart on it, and headers would help it breath more.
