Scrapped the 6.2. for less I can build 400 hp 383 so that's on the plan now. Sold the 6.2 with arp studs and fly wheel for a good sum. Got the vortec block. 95-98 non vortec heads and torquer intake. Start the build in a few months after I install the cross over and and figure out the front springs.

That's a great build. I'd like to see who the aftermarket compressor is powered and mounted.

Do you have a plan for this truck, our are you just throwing whatever parts you come across at it? Cheaper, less work, and more fun if you're got a concrete plan and follow it.

:laughing1: You mean my method doesn't work??? I've had concrete plans for my projects, then come across a good deal on a parts truck, or find something super cheap like an A883 OD trans, or get a chance to pull Air Locker and Detroit Lockers , NP205, front and rear axles, off of some trucks on their way to the scrap yard then my concrete plans are out the window and plans change.

I get board and start inventing the wheel with other guys ideas. The bed is home made farm box special. Up in canada here we get no military surplus. I have decided to stick with 38s cause I run her on the road. The 383 should be a solid plan.
