My '81 C20 is rated at 8,600 and has the cast iron MC. I know it's not a K series truck, but it does have the same rating as yours.

Am I mistaken for thinking you can measure the thickness of the rotor and determine if you have the 13s or 11s
In a previous build of mine I ran across me having the 1.25" rotors instead of the 1". The truck was optioned with the HD brakes per build sheet and had an iron master reservoir. So in that regards you could measure the thickness and determine which size....
Again I could be way off but thats what I ran across.

I believe you are correct on the rotor thickness as well.

My '81 C20 is rated at 8,600 and has the cast iron MC. I know it's not a K series truck, but it does have the same rating as yours.

I'm leaning more towards the MC was replaced as its the only component that doesn't match the brake system thats on it. I bought a new cast iron MC.
