Gear oil might make it stiffer to shift into 4WD in cold weather.

In the 80s when manual gearboxes called for gear oil they were stiff in the cold weather. The fix was to run 50/50 ATF and gear oil.

Never tried the sawdust......but I did use the bananas;)............didn't seem to work?
yeah - I think you need to use the 2 ingredients together.

I'm sure Google AI can come up with a recommendation, it seems to be an authority on everything else these days ( maybe if it got enough enquiries of this sort it might loosen up a bit ? .. )
