Let’s see some small blocks and turbos!

Anyone got pictures and/or specs on the build of small blocks with turbos? Let’s see ‘em! Any info on the subject is also appreciated!

Nobody in here has a turbo set up or has ever built an engine for boost?

No pictures that I can find but I built a 447 Small Block, 32V, twin turbo about 20 years ago for my Nova. It was making over 1500hp when the valve train failed as we were turning up the boost. It's still sitting in my storage.

GMPP rocket block, Arao/ Dominion 32v Billet heads, I think a Castillo crank. I don't recall the rods, pistons, cam, etc. I remember the block machining was crazy expensive as most was done on a CNC as none of the block came machined

Shelby/ Spearco kit. Picture before I added the waste gate and dressed up the plumbing/wires. This kit is no longer available.

I really like the look of this setup but they seem incredibly hard to find for sale. I’ve also heard they hardly make any power difference?

Unlike some of the turbo kits back in the day that mount the turbo low on the engine, this has the turbo up high. This gives a down hill path for the fuel air mix. This is a draw through system. Pulls air/fuel through the carb.

This kit only fits a truck, as there is not enough hood clearance for a car. Their car system mounted the turbo lower, right on the exhaust manifold.

What you may have heard about not making power was someone who didn't know, how to finish and tune the boosted engine.
