My steering is a bit loose too. Not bad enough that I can’t hold a straight line, but I can see the front wheels move back and forth a bit when I’m holding the steering wheel steady. I tracked down which bushing it was, but haven’t got around to ordering it yet.

I had to tighten the bolt holding the actual wheel to the steering shaft. I also had slop in the front beam axle. I used flat washers as shims to snug that up. And where my tie rods mount to the steering gear plate there are plastic bushings that are worn that I ordered.

Forgot to mention those pipes also put some serious heat off. Especially down my your foot coming out of the motor.

I also don't run with a hood on mine. I like the extra visibility and being able to tuck under bushes and such easier. I also love to watch the front suspension and steering.

If you have some noise-cancelling stereo headphones (or a stadium-type PA system), the best music for landscaping, besides the obvious George Jones, would be Sturgill Simpson's two volumes of "Cuttin' Grass"

In 2020, He re-recorded a bunch of his own songs with some ace Kentucky and Nashville Bluegrass players, donated most of the sales $$ to charity, and it raised so much money he cut a Volume 2.

Here he is with the band at the utterly empty Ryman Auditorium -- he was the first act to play there during CoVID martial law, with it simulcast.

Ok you guys asked for it. Here is my yard dog. I welded the front bar on so I can hook my trailer and push it in reverse. Which comes in VERY hand for tight spots and just moving it to mow the lawn. Added a lifting ring/race tow hook lol. 20 horse Intek. I run it on 5W30 full synthetic. Variable belt drive. Has plenty of low down grunt and will outrun my brothers Craftsman.

I'd like to add a mechanical or powered lift bar to the front at some point to hook the trailer so i can stay on my fat ass. Here is cockpit and controls.

I jerry rigged a foot rest for the left hoof. Replaced the 2017 battery a few weeks ago. The magic marker numbers on the left rear fender are for tire pressures reference. And installed a manual choke to bypass the auto choke.
