What are you wanting to replace, the lock cylinder?

Probably the lock cylinder with new key, using steering removal tool, remove the steering wheel. Then would need to remove the turn signal cams. From there you should see a set screw that holds the cylinder. I believe you still need a key to rotate for removal.

Door and ignition keys should be different. If it is very wore, anything can turn the existing cylinder. Screwdriver, knife, other key etc...

If you can turn it to start it you can turn it to remove it.
