The 16x8 AR172’s on my 79 k10 - Unfortunately the offset isn’t correct and the fronts hit the drag link. Used 5mm (3/16) spacers up front and the drag link clears just barely. The inner clip on wheel weights hit the drag link so I can solve that by going to stick on wheel weights. I’d like to go to a 8mm spacer but the 7/16 front lugs are so short. I’m getting 8 full turns with my extended thread lugnuts and 5mm spacer now but not sure if 6 turns with a wider spacer is enough?

On a 7/16's stud, you want at least 7/16's of thread engagement.

Even with my extended lugnuts, is this as simple as measuring 7/16 from end of wheel stud, mark it. Count the turns until I hit that mark, then mount wheel and hopefully I get the minimum amount of turns determined earlier.

The internet says 8.5 turns for a 7/16 stud. I’ll double check that with measuring.

I ended up getting the wheels. CWO honored my original order price of $633 shipped. Price has gone up significantly $158 -> $225 per wheel. Due to being made in China.

Wheels fit bolt pattern and offset 0 is similar to the stock wheel where you can barely get your finger between the drag link and inner wheel lip.

Issues:

- Need extended length lug nuts to barely reach minimum thread engagement of 7 turns.

- The wheel caps are just a little too small to fit over the front hubs. I can probably dremel out some of the cap so it will clear. I’m fine running without center caps except the wheels have 3 large bolt holes cast into them so it’s obvious you don’t have the cap on.

- Not much depth to the wheel face as they are pictured on the website. Instead of moving the face deeper in the wheel, the hub is deep aka as deep as an acorn lugnut.

Had to Dremel out the cap, so it just clears the hubs.

What diameter and width are those again? 15x8? They look good.

Found a great deal on set of 275/70/17 Wildpeak AT3W 32.2” 58lbs ea and the original hub cap stickers fit perfect!

The BFG KM3 285/70/17 32.8” 67lbs ea are 9lbs heavier per tire so will probably run those on another vehicle. 305 needs all the help it can get!

Looks good, I was looking at those wheels, but it looks like they got discontinued.

Christ, man…could that Blazer get any better looking??
Those Wagoneer wheels are sweet!! (So are the aluminum rally’s….)
I really think I need a 3rd or 4th truck because I love the wheels look I got on both of them now but those 2 styles are killer!

lol! Thanks! Vehicles always look better in pictures but it’s pretty good for being almost 40 years old.

I’m a wheel tire guy too, I like the stock wheels and refurbish them as good as I can vs aftermarket, but the 17” aluminum rally I couldn’t pass up vs the 15” steels that are hard to find at a decent price where I’m at.

My other projects are LS swapping (5.3 L59, 4l60, np241c) a 84 silver Grand Wagoneer (AMC 360 blew) and just picked up a 85 grand Wagoneer (AMC 360, TF727, NP229), where the previous owner didn’t know what he was doing and I have to redo the wiring along with fixing the inside doors. You can’t get out once you’re inside lol.

Marketplace / Craigslist vice. I have too many, but don’t want to part with any lol.
