Hello All,
Just picked up a 1975 C10 shortbox Stepside on behalf of my nephew who lives about 1600 km (~985 mi), from me. I'm in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada about 1 km (~0.6 mi), from the Atlantic Ocean (opposite Maine). My nephew has been looking for an early square body for some time and I came across a tidy, 2 owner very basic spec custom deluxe version. It has the 250 inline 6, 3 on the tree, manual steering, manual brakes and radio delete. My role in this is to go through the vehicle from bumper to bumper, repair, replace and upgrade as required. In other words, make it safe and reliable so my nephew can fly out and drive it home.
So, for the next 4 - 6 weeks I will probably posting questions as well as regular updates. After my nephew picks up the truck I will have him set up an account and I will close mine.
In case you are wondering about the 'Fresh Air Tester' name (actually prefer Fresh Air Inspector but it contained too many characters :-(, I'm retired, so the name is appropriate.
