So this thread will just be a thread tracking my current project. I bought a 83 K10 about 6-7 months ago and have done quite a bit of work to it but the PO ratted out the wiring, defrost doesn't work, ac doesn't work, and most of the dash (pad, cluster, bezel) is all being held on by like 4 screws. So just follow along ill be posting pictures of the progress and asking quite a bit of questions. My plan is to rip out all most all of the dash and clean up some wiring, the ac system and just clean up the dash a bit. Thanks

Anyone know what half of theses wires are because I don't lol :|

So just finished ripping out the dash pad and some vents and started looking at some wiring. I know wiring questions belong on the wiring thread, but I found these two wires one was just hanging under the dash and connects to this plug (plug is next to the steering column) and the other runs from the same plug through the firewall and just stops, anyone know what these could be for? and what this plugs into?

That's an aftermarket radio connector that has been spliced in.

Is that gray interior an original option? I like it.

I don't know if it's a factory option or not I know my carpet is aftermarket and my seat is in really good shape so I'm sure it wasn't there in the 80s. But thanks
