On a bearing stuff as many pieces of wet paper towel in behind the bearing as you can, get a bolt that fits in the bearing fairly close, drive the bolt in with a hammer, push in more soaking wet paper towel, again with the bolt and hammer. The wet paper towels will create hydraulic pressure behind the bearing and push it out.
I use bread. Takes about 3 pieces, and doesn't make a mess.

Yep wet paper towels don't make a mess either. Some poor guys are still using grease LOL @idahovette I think peanut butter would work good!

Hi Guys and Gals!
I still haven't put the clutch in but Im making a deal with my sister (who has my parent's house) to use the garage to put the clutch in. Dad has all of the tools and I can heat the space in the winter and cool it in the summer. Right now it is way to hot in South Texas to go and get the mail let lone lay in one's driveway and pull a transmission. I wlaso want to say "thank you" to everyone for their kind words in regards to my parent's passing. I really appreciate it more than you think.

You need a pilot shaft installed to hold the disc centered when you bolt up the pressure plate. Old pilot shaft (input shaft) from another "like" transmission is handy.

Not having a spare pilot shaft, you can get a plastic dummy shaft to hold the disc centered.

When you go to install the trans, make sure you have shifted it into a gear. That way when you go to slide it in, you can spin the rear yoke to make the splines line up on the disc.
Another tip - make yourself a pair of guide pins by cutting the heads off of two long bolts to screw into the back of the bell housing. That way you can slide the trans back with no risk of it dropping down some and springing the friction plate and maybe even bending the input shaft.
