Inline 6 fuel pump (i may be an idiot) please help

84 4.1 inline 6 . . Attempting fuel pump replacement. . . Does this engine have a pushrod for the pump? i pulled the old pump but do not see or feel anything except what i believe is the crankshfaft,is this what drives my pump? Please help im not a great mechanic but trying to learn my haynes repair manual talks abbout a push rod but none of the pics look like mine

No it does not. The pump arm rides directly on the cam lobe
