Dual plane intake manifold choices tend to be divided into 2 camps:

Idle to 5500RPM, lower HP
1500 to 6500RPM. higher HP
In the testing I have seen, RPM for max HP is not stated.

Maybe this test is outdated??

I really don't think my motor will see 6500rpm.....

In 4 speed applications, how important is that first 1500RPMs ??

With 2.52 first gear and 3.73 diff, 1500RPM translates to just shy of 15mph....

I put an Edelbrock Performer RPM (1,500-6,500rpm) on my 454 build and didn't look back. any kind of cam that will make power is generally going to start in the 1,200-1,800 rpm range, so if you're doing any kind of mods to your engine I would recommend going just a little bit bigger. so the 1500+ power band Intake would be my first choice/recommendation. I'd be willing to bet you wouldn't even notice the "curve" difference between the two intakes by any seat of the pants driving.
