I think I'm going to sell this axle. I'll likely hold onto the springs, blocks and U-bolts though.
I know it's a 4.10 ratio. Looks to be an open diff since I can see an outer spider gear.
I was told it came from a 1 ton. But, I don't know if it was from a SRW or a Dually 1 ton. Can anyone tell for certain by the pics? I just want to be sure I advertise it right and not sell it to someone who thinks they can use it, to find out I listed it wrong, so I'd like to be certain. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Thank you sir. I was thinking the same, that it's a SRW 1 ton. Pic would be great.

It's definitely an srw axle, you can tell by the shorter snout of the bearing hub (dually hub snouts are 4.5"~5" long).

You probably already know but it's a '76-ish axle based on the 10/75 date on the ring.

Yes, open diff.

I could be wrong but the spring perch distance looks wide. Purely a guess but my money would be 3/4 ton.

I hope you're right. No, I wasn't aware it was 76ish. I just knew it wasn't GMT400 truck. Maybe I should keep it then like I thought. My intent was to use it in my K10 and get an 8 lug D44 or 10 bolt. If you're correct, it should bolt right in.

Looks like a 3/4 ton rear because the shock mounts are close to the spring perches (1 ton has shocks inboard of the frame rails).

IIRC, 1ton spring pads are 40.5" and 3/4 ton is 42.5".

I'd be happy as a pig in **** if it were a 3.73 3/4 ton rear end. But, the #'s 11 41 10 75, I'm fairly certian its the 41 and the 10 that the teeth count. Usually the ring gear is before the pinion gear.

That wouldn't make sense for the dates to be at the ends. I'll say it's a 3.73 that was manufactured 10 of '75.

Time to count teeth if you want to be absolutely sure.

OMG, I so hope you guys are right. I'm getting a fuggin hard-on right now. :manos: I've had the cover off before, and didn't tighten it back up, so I'll damn sure count those pinion teeth to make sure. Oh boy would I be happy. That would mean I can use that rear end in my K1500, and convert the front 6 lugs to 8 lugs and be ready to rock n roll.

By Golly jeepers guys, I just went out and pulled out my set of gears that I have for a 14b full float that were new take outs of a 94 Chevy truck. I know for a fact these are 4.10's cuz of RPO codes on the truck they came out of, and of course I can count the teeth on this set. As you guys have said, the #'s on this set of gears is 10 41 6 93, which would be 10 pinion teeth, 41 ring teeth, manufactured June of 93 for a truck that was manufactured November of 93 and a 94 model truck. So it makes sense that you guys are on target. Yipee !!! This axle is now off the market. It's mine mine mine !!! And would you believe, this is the one I got for FREE off of Craigslist in the FREE section. A lady wanted it moved out from under her carport that her husband had this mess sitting for 6 months and summer was coming and she wanted her car shaded. I'll for sure be rocking this sumbish !!!
