Hydroboost pedal push rod

need to rebuilt my hydroboost system so to get rid of the ugly iron master i choose to upgrated with the GMT800 2003 savana system find at a local junk!

look like a lot of those system is the same just need to swap mounting plate (easy)and pedal push rod....but how? some said just hammered out other said you need a special tool?

I know when I replaced hydro-boost last year, my old rod just slid into the back of the unit. When I bought the replacement, it looks like A1 Cardone (rebuilder of all replacements) crimps the end of the boost unit to retain the rod.

at the end i up tig weld the old in the new! all the swap is done now and run great!

2003 Savana Heavy duty hydrobooster (long pressor reservoir)
1999 Sierra 2500 hydroboost master cylinder
1999 S-10 reservoir (to clear the hood)
