Had to go junkyarding for work yesterday. Scored a full set of smooth, painted Suburban fender flares for $48. These should work just fine on my truck, I'll just have to trim off that little tail on the 2 rears

Also grabbed a full set of Escalade interior handles for $3/ea

A good idler pulley with it's spacers and some random hardware and bracket for the intake cover for my C10. Now I just need the cover

AutoZone also called me and said my AVS Ventshades were in, so I picked those up. This is the 4th set I've ordered for this stupid truck. Either wrong parts sent or offbrand swapped in. Finally got the right ones and put them on last night when I got home

Then did more junkyarding today. Scored a smooth, painted upper bumper pad for $9. It has a minor gouge that I'll have to fill but shouldn't be bad

Also scored a really nice dark charcoal version of the Buick wood wheel for $33. It's a dookey brown wood, but for that price I won't complain, I can get it hydrodipped or painted. Plus even the center of the wheel and the buttons are nicer than my current wheel

Looks like you had a pretty bountiful harvest at the wrecking yard.

Also grabbed a 2500HD cluster from another yard so I'd have a trans temp gauge for $100. These are guys I've gotten to know well, they said it all worked perfectly so I trust them. Otherwise I'd have haggled

Looking back at those pictures of the bumper pad, I realized that truck had a hood on it. I didn't even look at it and looking at their inventory, it was an '06. FAK. Guess I'm going back tomorrow lol. It's worth the $2 entry to see if that's a good HD/'06-07 hood. Can't believe I didn't look today

Yeah these yards have quite a few NBS trucks in them. There were 6 Escalades at one and 4 at the other. Guess I know what I'm gonna start doing more regularly

I never heard of a Cover Charge for a Junkyard.

That's how the self service yards are around here too. Pick n pull, speedway, $1 or $2 entry fee.

Yep, they're all either $2 or $3 to get into if it's a self service yard. It's either that or the yard won't let you go in at all, you just tell them what you need and they pull it
