Haha thanks buddy. It's not a bad or a good thing. I do miss doing shows, but honestly I'm wayyyy over travelling with one of the guys lol. The extra money/comp time was nice (though I never got to use all my comp time) but it's also nice to be home alot more. I may end up travelling again in the future, but so far I've only done 1 show this year. We'll see. Neither here nor there at the moment

Sold those stupid N-fab steps the day after I listed them, got my $200 back. Found these that night at 30% off so I took a chance on them. They claimed to fit a 1500 crewcab and being bolt on...

Turns out, 2500/3500s have places in the inner rocker panel to insert J-clips and 1500s don't. I was gonna have to drill holes and use nutserts. So I ran to Hobo Freight to buy a nutsert tool and thank god for my bodylift, the tool wouldn't have fit otherwise. I was able to use it with it being above my framerails

So these give you 3 heights to choose from and also in/out adjustment toward/away from the cab. It actually worked out very well in the end, they're very sturdy. I had to bend the lip of the rocker down where it bolts to match the contour of the brackets but you can't see it once installed.

The driver's side did have a couple small dents. Kind of a bummer but not a deal breaker for this truck. I will certainly be communicating that they're not a bolt on and I'll just mention the dents as well for good measure

This is adjusted all the way out. I tried further in first, it looked better but didn't have enough foothold so this is where we landed. Not terrible IMO

Overall I like them. They're still tucked up to the cab pretty well and they're very sturdy. They're extruded aluminum, so they're very stiff.

I also ordered some plugs for the stake pockets because I get alot of water in even with the tonneau since it doesn't cover 100%

Then warshed it up for the 4th and hung out at my friend's house. Flew the flag Thursday-yesterday. Love how it looks on this truck

And then Saturday I weed wacked what had gotten out of hand on our property and picked up all the limbs/sticks/twigs that had fallen so our lawn guy can start cutting that area again. Had to truck them to the back of the property and dump them. Thankfully we've dried out so I didn't get stuck (remember, it's still not 4wd yet lol)

Been looking for some blind spot mirrors to add for a while now. I normally always use the larger 3” round spots and I LOVE these. Have them on the square too:

But those won’t work on my DL3 mirrors with the turn signals in them. I’ve bought 3 different spot mirrors looking for something that won’t block the signal. Finally found some that will fit below the signal. They’re not ideal, but not horrible. Found them at AutoZone

Put on the 2nd tailgate assist today, this one didn't break! (yet lol). Ponied up for the name brand, DeeZee, but it's identical to the knockoff from what I can tell. I guess it's made better though. Thinking about grinding down that lower nut/stud cuz DAMN it's close to the bedside

So Sunday after we got back from the beach, I worked on cleaning up the tip since I had an appt at the exhaust shop Monday. This thing was nastyyyy

I used a red scotchbrite with some glass cleaner on the regular piping and carefully on the worst of the carbon buildup inside. Then some 0000 steel wool and chrome polish on the good part of the tips

The underside where it points toward the wheel is just sand blasted silver, no saving that. No biggie since you can't really see it

About 45min later, they actually shined up pretty decent. Good enough for this ole truck anyway. Just about scrubbed the Corsa logos off lol

So then I played with some mockup to see where I wanted them to land

Got to the exhaust shop right at 8 Monday morning. Took them about 2hrs. They got the tip tucked up nice and tight, I'm very happy with it

There was one small snafu though. I told them to keep in mind that I had a stock sized spare I wanted to throw back under there, so try to keep the pipe off to the pass side. Well, he guessed wrong and I can't run my spare. That's my fault, I should've got them to let me stick it up there after they cut the old pipe off, but it was monsooning that day and I didn't wanna get soaked. Not that a stock spare will do much much good (nor will the stock jack work at this point either lol) but I did want it mainly cuz it kinda cleans up the back of the truck, you can't see as much underneath. Plus the weight makes it ride a bit better. Oh well

Yesterday I tried putting the spare in to see if I might could just beat the pipe in a bit and no dice. I'd have to basically close that outward bend to make it work. I forgot to take a picture underneath but it shove the tip like 3-4" from where it was, and it also rotated so the rear tip stuck out more. And it hit the bedside. I like the tip tucked better so no spare for now. I might see about getting a smaller tire or something. We'll see.
