It’s a work in progress! Its my first real engine swap so I’m learning as I go. It’s a junkyard 6.0 LQ4 out of a 2006 2500hd with about 80k miles on it. I got lucky with it as it has the 317 head the used in the GMT1200 trucks. Transition era engine I’m guessing? Apparently it gets better mpg than the earlier head which I’m inclined to agree with. It gets about 14-16 mpg mixed hwy/town driving with 4.10 gears and 33in tires. I haven’t had the EFI tuned yet so hopefully there’s still room for improvement!
Thank y’all! I built this truck specifically to work this place. I don’t care much for the newer trucks and don’t really feel like they’re worth the money they want for them so I built this instead. It’s gettin the job done so far!
