Anyone have picture of their long tubes from the bottom / side of the truck? Post the picture, and what headers you have if possible. I'd like to see how low they hang below the truck.

I don't have any pictures but these do not hang below the frame: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g9101

The one problem I had was the spark plugs in the truck at the time were too long and the header would hit them, even without the boots. This was solved by using shorty plugs. If you have angled heads you should be OK.

I'm one knats A** close to pulling my long tube headers off and going to manifolds. My 350 K20 never see's over 3500 rpm in the "real world". NV4500, 4:56 lockers and a typical 3/4 ton suspension...it's meant for off-road and work. I'm sick of the sparkplug clearance issues, stinky a** no convertor smell and extra weight of dual exhaust. I'll take simple, reliable and effective over the "hotrod" thing any day. Now if it were a lowered C10 meant for Friday night cruises, well it would be a different story.

Bro.
305 guy.
Is this the right thread?
Do yourself a favor and buy 1.5 inch primary / 2.5" collector headers.
The secret to your exhaustive success lays with appropriate header. collector. length. tuning.

Dont let nobody else tell you no different.

Search sbc block hugger headers on eBay if you don't want to take advantage of full length headers. Years ago I had a Datsun 240z with SBC and clearance was an issue, they did the trick.
