Hi everyone, I never expected to pick up a square body Chevy but I found a heck of a deal and fell in love.

I found a 1989 3500 crew cab dually with a travel quest package for sale on the side of the road a few days ago. Just over 34000 original miles! An old lady, original owner, used it for a few decades to haul her horses around. Beyond the fading clear coat and a leaky water pump it appears to be in great shape and well maintained! I want to work on restoring it and repairing a few minor cosmetic items which led me to this forum.

The interior is amazing shape for it's age, with the exception of the cracked vinyl dash.

Welcome. I didn't realize they still made Bonus Cabs in 1989. I like the back seat that folds into a bed. I remember a company named Starcraft that used to convert vans and trucks. I've never heard of your upfitter, Travel West.

From what I've seen, the bonus cabs are more common in the later years because that's what many of the conversion companies started with.

I'm still trying to figure out how to pull the dang thing out into a bed, ha! There's a lever attached to metal cable and the cable appears too worn to disengage the other side of the seat, should be an easy fix.
