I put a set of poppers on a 90s model chevy in the late 90s. I ordered them from truckin magazine if that dates me lol. They sell different pound poppers and I opted for the strongest and they worked well. I can't remember the brand but with the stiffness of the square body latches I would go with the strongest pound popper of whatever brand you choose. The manual cable backup is a must. The problem with the button (and I speak from experience) is if your battery dies, the doors won't open and you can't pop the hood to get power. I had to remove the button, splice the hot wire and use jumper cables and another truck to get power to the popper to open the door. Hope this helps.
