how do i remove my dash pad??

Hokay...I'm going on memory here because I haven't had a square in about 6 months or so...
I remove the cluster bezel first, there's (I think) phillips 12 screws holding it on and a couple go through the pad. First there's 4 holding the under column trim and then 7 or 8 around the perimeter of the bezel. Then there's 4 more screws (7mm, depending on year) just above the ashtray and glovebox, they are right at the edge of the pad. I don't remember any at the defroster duct at the base of the windshield. Then it lifts out.

you forgot the phillips head screw on the passenger side. you have to open the door to get to it

Yeah, on the side. And be careful pulling it out not to break the top clips that snap into the dash.

I don't think '78s had those. I think that was added in 1981.

that should not be hard haha the doors are currently off as im in the middle of a complete interior overhaul
