Bought a set of summit full length headers and my front drive shaft is hitting my right side when I lock into 4wd or lock my hubs in. I pulled out my drive shaft and the joints feel fine and the slip yoke only has a small amount of slack. Anyone ran into this? Have the driveshaft fixed or take the headers back off? The grease fitting has already tore a hole in one of the tubes... Summit verified they were 2wd/4wd compatible.

never seen it before we had dynomaz headers from a 76 2wd 3 spd on the column and put them on an 86 k10 with an auto and had no issues.

Your engine mounts may be in bad shape.

Yep you will have front driveshaft issues with long tube headers. It gets a little better with lift but there is still contact upon up travel of the passenger side.

The only clearance issue I've ever had was with the shackles, d-shaft was always fine. Never run those Summitt headers though.

Hmm, I didn't know that. I had Flowtechs on the '77 Blazer that's stock height and they cleared everything just fine.

I have the flowtechs on an 86 4x4 4sp and haven't had any such issue..... x2 on motor mounts, or check end play on pinion and t/c yokes.
