Hey guys! I have a question about the harmonic balancer on my truck. I'm trying to eliminate a noise from the front of my engine. I have a 1987 350 in my 77 pickup.

The question is: Is the harmonic balancer from a 1977 350 the same as one on a 1987 350? I'm curious because I know the engines began changing in 1986.

Any way, I need some guidance. Thanks for the help!

They may not, as you suspect. I just replaced mine on my 77 350. I think it was like $45.00

A 1977 balancer would have the timing mark at 10 degrees CCW in relation to the keyway.

A balancer originally used on a 1987 would have the timing mark at 30 degrees CCW from the keyway.
