Also this truck came to me without a radio. I did get the adapter an harness plug for an aftermarket radio. The adapter plug has no constant 12v wire for the radio memory. Is there one somewhere or am I on my own?

What you are holding is the 12+ constant for the radio. The orange wire.

And the other wire is for the dimmer. Do any aftermarket radios even use that wire anymore?

Most aftermarket head units (Sony, Alpine, etc) do have an orange lead that can be wired into the vehicle's instrument illumination circuit.

The plug I got to wire up the radio has a dimmer wire in it so that must be in the other 3 plugs....

For anyone else wondering I found a diagram yesterday. The solid orange is the constant an the Orange with brown is an backlight wire. The diagram calls the plug "digital clock connection"

Yes, or "dimmer". It's connected to the headlight switch, so the backlight dims when you dim the gauges.
