Thank you; you are correct - he passed the day after Veterans Day in 2005. So 16 years ago today.

Interestingly enough I just retrieved the GTO from the museum about a week ago.

Baby's back home -

I'd be that bad kid too when the sign say don't touch. I'd be getting in the cars putting the seat belt on and making vrooom vrooom noises, especially in the 4 speeds. I'd be speed shiftin gears and all kinda ****. :happy175:
That is too funny. My dad a car in a show had the trunk open putting the ropes and stands in the trunk. The car started rocking dad stepped around and there was a moron bouncing around in the seat hands on the wheel while his took pictures. Dad was like get the eff out of my car and the guy was like what's the big deal.

The GTO is headed out again this week, to be a part of Flint's Sloan Museum "Cars of the Community" display for a year.

But - I trust their judgement:

One of two Buick "Bugs" (the whereabouts of the other car is unknown)

I have very fond memories of my dad's '80 "vette" when I was a kid. He bought it brand new. Orange with tan vinyl, stick shift. I was a wee little lad and enjoyed watching him shift gears in that little car :)
