hello, my name is Tom,
I purchased this extremely clean rolling 1984 K10 last June to restore. Been looking for 3 years for the cleanest on I could find which is very hard to do given its New England. Body and cab have been under coated and currently I have the cab in primer and am working on the bed. I’ve completely done over the gauge cluster and fixed the wiring harness over this past winter as well. I bought the truck with the frame fully powder coated and completely redone with a 12” superlift and dual quad shock setup. It’s my dream truck with the exception that I want to find a stock frame underneath it for everyday drivability and ditch the lift. If anyone is in the market for a rolling frame completely redone let me know.

Howdy!

But why not just keep the super clean frame and install stock or smaller lift springs?

I originally wanted to do that, and I have a complete set of stock springs ready to go. However, my issue is the factory front shackle location has been moved along with the rear shock mounting locations. In addition, the previous owner blocked the sway bar underneath the front portions of the frame. It would be too much work to change everything back, and since it’s all powder coated I’m afraid to take it all apart for fear of chipping it up.

Hi Tom.
There is a very good reason GM attached vents to the end of hoses and moved them FAR AWAY from rearend housings.

Just sayin.

Good luck with your new dream truck!
