Hi all,
New here to forum and truck. I bought an 86 Chevy swb and the seat belts don't lock up when pulled fast. I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy the replacement. LMC has some but they are different than the ones I have. Here is what I have, can someone help me before I go crazy!!

Thanks,

Ben

I don't think it matters how fast you pull on the belts. I think there's some kind of weight mechanism in the retractor assembly that locks the belt when the truck experiences sudden movement.

Thanks Bucket,
It appears that they work via pendulum so when you slam on the breaks the pendulum swings allowing the lock to pop up. I unbolted the seat belt and tilted it and it works just fine. Thanks for the help.
