This is our newly purchased family owned project
Looking forward to sharing all the upgrades and build with the forum.
We have so many questions and eagar to learn more about our truck....little history....the truck was owned by my fiance's Uncle which he had for some time thought to be in the early 90's. The truck is sentamentle in the aspect her Uncle Ronnie is no longer with us... we lost him to vovid.
And consider ourselves lucky to have the truck which will remain in the family....few pics the day we picked her up !!

The title says its 1977.. the glove box I believe to say 1973 Cardinal Red.... The story has it that the cab was replaced .... so I guess we will never know what the actual truck was....but thats ok... we will go with what we have and build, upgrade, repair.....
GUESS the first question would be what is the difference between K10 - C10 ? And how do you come to the conclusion.

I found this in the Forum... so I answered my own question by looking around in the forum....

As an owner of several squares. If you’re comparing a c truck ( 2 wheel drive) to a K truck (4wheel drive) sounds about right. K trucks need kidney belts to be driven and C trucks are like floating on a cloud.

So The Truck has a 12 bolt rear end I have not seen any tags usually under a cover bolt....with no real original i.d.
How can I find the gear ratio ?
Other than counting ring and pinion....which I will be doing later at some point !

Usually, the R&P will have the numbers on the ring gear. Like this... 14:43 or a 3.08 gear ratio. Yours could be 10:41 for 4.10 ratio or 11:41 for a 3.73 ratio.

Lift the rear of the truck and put on jack stands. Pull the diff cover off, rotate tires until you find the stamped numbers on the ring gear. In this case devide 41 by 11 and your gear is 3.73's

Ive gotta know would it be worth swopping from 52 inch rear spring to a 56 inch rear spring ?
I have to replace rear springs anyways the passide rear has a broken leaf...
Been thinkin about a high rise raise but just not practical right now !
So gotta replace the rear leafs.....is it worth going to 56 inch and a shackle flip ?
