As some of you know, Im looking for a shortbed stepside to convert my 87 longbed to short bed. I know that with a short bed there is not much weight in the rear, Especially with a powerful motor. My question is would relocating a gas tank like this pic help with traction since its in the rear. I assume it would.

I will be runnung a 18x12.5 rim with 335/30 or a little taller tire. I know
that will help with traction some. Truck is not going to be a track truck but just a fun street truck.

Are there any kits ou there for a relocation tank, or is all the pic i see on google fabbing up there own relocation??

I would assumed it'd help with traction especially when on the fuller side. As far as kits go I've never seen a tank relocation kit. It's all fabrication.

When I did it I used all the parts from a donor blazer. It was an easy bolt on mod for me.

I moved my fuel cell to the rear in the bed just behind the rear end and moved the batterys to the right side just inside the tailgate and that helped a bunch when it comes into boost
