gas tank in the bed

Im going to pull both sadle tanks and get a 60 gal made for the bed behind my box. Is there any problems any one has run across in doing this

I'd check your state motor vehicle inspection laws before you get too involved.

For example, from the State of NH Inspection Requirements:

(4) The fuel tank is not secured to the body or chassis or is located in a position that does meet the manufacturer’s specifications, except for a vehicle powered by propane, in which case the fuel tank may be located in the trunk;

It might be hard to convince the inspector that a fuel tank in the bed meets GM specs.

Well talked to them they say its ok since its a one ton they dont check the tank just the cap so ill have it made in acouple months then i can rip out the old ones finish my duel pipes out each side in front of the rear tires the maybe some rock sliders ive been thinking about making
