if it is normal why does it stay on when truck is running? i would of also thought it would picked up no fuel pressure?? and no egr lol does it not check these things?

Dude, I am going through the same hell myself trying to figure it out on mine, I think my computer is trashed. It's running lean, EGR solenoid control is jacked up, phukin engine light comes on after de-accel from highway speed and cruise kick off, and it refuses to put codes out to diagnose. I am very frustrated myself. :help:

Might have to swap a phukin 2bbl carb onto it. :lazer:

As for your hood gaps, it looks like your entire front clip is shifted to one side. It could be that the radiator support bushings need loosened and the front clip shoved over, or the frame could be bent too.

Couldnt see your video. either link. does it flash code 12 more than 3 times? each code stored, will flash 3 times before moving on to the next code, then will end with code 12 again.
computer has now way to know fuel pressure.
Sounds to me like somebody went through that truck and really ****** it up. Carbs are more of a guessing game, compaired to TBI and more advanced systems.

It will stay on with key on engine stopped. Once engine is running it should go out.

so i got my new fuel pump on my right side tank not worried about the left atm the pump came with new wires and clamps gaskets etc... the little hose they sent with it tho about 3inches long didnt fit so i used the original one tested it make sure it didnt leak first, now gotta get hose for fuel selector valve to fuel filter was wondering tho how much gas do i need for the pump to pick it up to run? the minimum amount of gas i mean cause i got 2 2and half gas cans if i fill those up and put in gas tank would the pump pick it up to run? Also forgot i put new strainer on aswell got the Delco ep386 pump from amazon

That should be enough to pick up.
