On a 1983 C10 front rotor and hub can you separate the hub from the rotor, or is it all one piece, I see some rotors don't come with the hub, basically I want to switch to drill and slotted

No......stock front rotors are one piece. There are companies out there that make a two piece rotor and hub assembly, like Baer, EBC, and a couple others, but you have to buy them as a kit.

Could have been generic photos used in the ad too. Unless they expect you to have your stock rotors turned down into "hubs" and slide their rotors onto your new "hubs". You would then need longer wheel studs too if that were the case.

I see a lot of that lately with the generic photos :shitsweak:

I have seen them listed online for the V10 (4x4) that give you the option for a one piece assembly, just the rotor by itself or just the hub by itself. I have seen a similar setup on my Datsun, but I don't see any bolts holding the two parts together like on the Z. Maybe the two are held together by the wheel studs? If I drove those out do you think the hub would come apart?

Unfortunately I'm working odd jobs under the table at the moment and I can really only barely even afford the rotors without the hubs, but I don't see any reason I can't reuse my hubs to begin with. Not like the bearings are shot and have ruined the inside of it or anything
