Post up your Frankenstein built trucks aka cab swaps or built hack jobs you have had
Hears ones iv had ill never buy another Mutt again I call a Frankenstein truck when the cab is not original to the frame that's my opinion.
(blue) First truck 1985 chevy silverado 4x4 cab on 86 frame was in accident at one point in its life the bed was the matching one the the cab the hood fenders were lmc truck junk it was decent build but a huge hack job who ever built it made it a mud truck I parted it out it was really rusty no good panels I saved the bed for my 86 and the visor
(Primer grey) second truck had to have been the biggest pice of crap I owned its long gone now some kid a town overs trying to build it haha ya right started as a 1985 chevy c10 with a 305 well some one transfers it to a 1987 frame the body panels were all matching to the cab they were rusty but so what. It had a 1987 computer in it with tbi in it wires were a mess 3 inch lift sucked. The tranny in it blew in it after a week of owning it.
(Primmer black) third truck was a 1981 chevy c10 custom deluxe on a 1985 short bed frame 4x4 this truck was a junker too it had knocking 305 in it ran bad cb would flop around wile driving it the bed cab and nose were all from the same c10 had a bolted tunnel in it so that was alright this thing never saw the road again it's some kids trail it was in tough shape when I sold it its up maine some wear.
(Primer black truck number 2) forth night mar it was a so called 1983 chevy I ran the vin it was a 1982 gmc Sierra 1500 it came factory as a diesel this was a odd truck it was kinda odd that it was a disease short bed so it had a body lift it was Amit box the bed was off a red 83 ? It was done for its junked I got the back half of the frame for my 86 my buddy chopped the cab up for parts it had a gay sunroof in it
Last but not least was my 1981 or newer cab truck with 1979 nose on it this truck I bought for to part out I only payed 500 for it and knew I could make money on it the cab got revined buy the state of Maine so it's junk to me
I will always run the vin or get a good story on the next trucks I buy out of all these truck only one of these hunks of junks only managed to hit the road the grey one only had it fora week so being that said I'm only going to buy stuff I can trace back or look at it and go that's been unmolested
