Where can I find the fan shroud clips that fasten the shroud to bottom of the core support?
I’m not finding them at any of the parts houses, and the dealer tells me my ‘79 C10 is too old.
Any ideas? Or start wandering the pic-a-part yards?

Automotive speed nuts. You can get them at most auto parts stores, and I've even gotten them at Menards before in their misc hardware section.

Edit: my bad, I initially looked at part #8.

Can you post a picture of how they are supposed to attach? I can’t figure mine out.

I figured it out! The speed nuts go on the radiator support, and the shroud clamps have the threaded side towards the radiator. The fan shroud has two holes at the bottom for the bolts to pass through, clamping the shroud to the rear face of the lip of the radiator support.

I know this seems simple, but for some reason I struggled with this.
