Factory door question

Does anyone know if there's any part numbers or stampings on factory doors? I think the doors I have on my 78 are aftermarket by the tinny sound they make when knocked on, but looking at my 85's doors I can't find any markings on them either. anybody know where to look for something to tell me what they are?

Did you look inside the door? Factory doors will have cosmoline or some for crud sprayed in there as well as have overspray where aftermarket doors will be smooth black primer.

The factory replacement doors have the black E-coat too. I asked the same question the op did a while back, because I know that all the new GM stampings for current production have their logo stamped into them. The doors for these trucks though, were made long before that. I have a set oem replacements, and an aftermarket replacement. The aftermarket door is noticeably lighter in weight.
