Hello all,

I'm looking to buy a 1976 suburban 1/2 ton, 2WD and wanted to know if 3-point seatbelts were available for the front seats on this suburban? If these 3-point seatbelts were an option in 1976, and this suburban I'm looking at does not have them, would factory 3-point seatbelts bolt in without cutting and welding?

Thanks for any info,

David

The only way to know for sure is to pull the b-piller trim panels off and see if there's a plug underneath. If there's a plug, pull it and you might find the blind nut where the factory belts bolted to. My '73 has the nuts for mounting the 3pt belts even though they weren't offered until I think '75 if I remember correctly.

Same show for my 74 K10. Mounting points are hidden underneath the trim panels even though it was only equipped with lap belts.
