I have a 1985 K-30 dually I a having problems with the electric door locks. I have removed each door lock switch 1 at a time but cannot find reason for door locks locking and unlocking by themselves.. With the power wire connected the door locks literally try to unlock themselves in a pattern around all 4 doors until it drains the battery. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

You just have the two lock switches in the front doors, right? Are both of them doing it that you know of? It sounds like some kind of slipshod contact is being made in the switch. You could try cleaning the contacts in the switches and see if that helps. Check out Page 3 of this build thread.

I don't believe it is the switches. The are disconnected and laying on the floor. The locks are still randomly trying to lock and unlock.

Any chance there was an alarm system on the truck at any point? For multiple switches to start activating, on a new car you would suspect a body control module. These don't have those. I'm thinking that if there was an alarm/remote locking feature installed at some point that it could be the issue.

You might want to check that the Power Lock Relay is bolted nice and tight to the firewall. The coils are grounded through the casing of the relay. If the contacts are not shuttling properly, the relay will continuously attempt to relock the doors.
