Nice! I bet that was worth every penny.

You betcha. The $300 I spent on the NGK A/FR meter was the best $300 I've spent on the truck. Nothing, but nothing, beats a properly tuned carb for making engine happy-happy noises.

The adjustment screw is what contacts the fast idle cam, at least on the 1400s. You can't see the screw head unless you look up at the linkage from below, as with an inspection mirror. But the bit that hits on the fast idle cam is the end of the screw, as shown in that diagram in the manual.
