Driving lamps/Fog lights? Anyone running them on their c10?

I have a really nice set of 7in driving lights left over from my old 2022 VW Tiguan that I ran on a B2BFab light bar.

Looking at my c10 I’m unsure if they would flow well with the truck. But god damn it do they produce some light and literally illuminate the road for miles lol

Curious if anyone else is running some and could post of pictures before I go thru the hassle of installing em and hating it lol

I would see if they would fit behind the grill. If they do, wire them temporarily and see if they still put out enough light to be worth mounting there. I don't think they would fit the look of your truck out front, which looks great as is.

Hellas suck. Old vehicles headlights don't reach out to the side.

I can't speak on 2wd, but 4wd have a perfect mounting location under the bumper on the spring hanger/body mount. I bolted the Hellas and my new ones up pretty easily.

You could easily make a small flat mount plate. Just bolt it to the bottom lip of the bumper and bolt the lights on, not the ones from that car obviously.

I like the diode dynamic sae fog pros I got. Very bright, good yellow color, swappable lenses, nice pattern. They've already saved me a couple times in fog and whiteouts.

As stated, round lights, bold under the bumper for fogs. Bolt on top of the bumper for driving lights. Best is to have fogs, not in line with your eyes.

Lights in the lowrider: First were Cibies, Headlights and fogs, cases rusted. Replaced all 4 with Hellas.

They can switch between Amber or white running light and they disengage when turned on.

I’m gonna see how they look behind the grill and if they actually produce enough light.

Worse case I don’t run em lol just got em sitting in a box currently

The universal fog housings are plastic now

I had two glass lenses break from rocks from normal gravel roads(tried two pairs)

They aren't sealed and get moisture in them

The h3 bulbs are garbage, they burn out so fast

The clip/bulb retainer/electrical connection thing is a complete joke, probably why the bulbs burn out so fast.

Light output is mediocre depending on health of the bulb and connector clip thing. Even brand new. Pattern is okay

The coating on the reflector housing is junk too comes off eventually

I bought a combo set of fog/driving lights on Amazon from Nilight. I have them on the bottom of my 84 bumper but worried they're going to get broke from rocks etc. I don't want to drill holes in the top of the bumper, and I have an 85 Chevy aftermarket grill in it. Sorry the pic doesn't show them very well. I'll post a better pic later.

This is what I put on mine. I just need to get some 16 gauge wire to run to the battery. I bought a harness specifically for them that comes with relays fuses and a 2 button switch. The switch in mounted and connected so just need to connect light wires to the harness and hot wire to the battery. I like these as I can use the driving, or fog individually or both at the same time.

I finally got my lights hooked up today, and I like them. Can't wait to see them after dark. They can be just driving, just fog, or both

Guess I know what foglights to shop for… Ralph had a set of under bumper, glass with failing amber inner coating. I’ll be using those oval led type instead. Putting the set off the K1500 parts roach on the back as reverse lights. They mount to a bracket on the receiver hitch… Have a bolts to the bumper type receiver to install, rear step or flagpole mount. Actually aimed, bright reverse lights on a Squarebody would be a really nice change…

I have some 6in diode dynamics LED in a flood pattern mounted to the underneath side of my rear bumper. They put plenty of light out for all my backing up needs!

Looks good, how do you like the light pattern on the road? Is the installation fairly easy or not so much? And how is the price? I need to upgrade the lighting on my CCSB and these look like a good possibility.
