What t cases are good for doubling? For instance if I already have a NP203 what could I double it with? Or should I look for a couple other ones to use? I have a buddy with an NP205 that I could get for fairly cheep and I'm most likely going to get it. Any and all help is appreciated! Learning as I go.

Not to question your means but are you planning on doing a lot of rock crawling or pulling yourself up trees?

Most people who double up do it because they require a SUPER low gear to do such activities.

you take the range box from a 70s np203 which is just the back half of the 203. and you take a np205 and buy the expensive ass kit from ORD and combine the two

the range box of a 203 is the front part.

I have a ord doubler I bought a rebuilt 203 range box with the adapter installed on it and a triple stick shifter from them for less than 1,400

I just looked it up, doubler kit is 800bucks, triple stick kit is 300bucks, and depending on where your located finding said transfercases

so I guess looking at the big picture 1500bucks for one of the most bad ass transfer case setups you can run isnt so bad

the easiest 203 to find is the turbo 350/203 combo

the 400/203 is harder to find but still out there

the hardest to find is the sm465/203 combo

I just so happen to have multiple 350/203 combos and two 400/203 combos and 1 sm465/203 combo

the doubler kit uses a turbo 400 205 race track t-case to bolt on the 203 range box

the turbo 400 205 is hard to find but you can convert any 205 to the 400 32 spline input

I won't be doing any crawling right away but I do plan on it in the not too distant future. I live really close to Hollister where they hold the Top Truck Challenge. My dream is to one day be able to enter the challenge.

I do believe the atlas transfer case would serve you better

I actually paid $2400 for the truck so maybe that's beyond my pay grade! I talked to my buddy today and he said he'd sell me his 205 for $300 I tried to talk him down but I know it's worth more and it's a working T case so I'm sure I'm getting a deal. He actually said $400 to start with and I frowned so he brought the price down to $300.

Yep, I'll check Pick-n-Pull and see what they have. Worst case scenario I'd have to bring tools and pull it out myself.
