Decent shortbed for sale, actually it's in excellent shape compared to most old truck beds around here. Needs a patch panel for behind one rear wheel and there is a couple rust holes in the rear sill area. Has the filler on the driver side.

What's one of these worth these days? $200 maybe? Pics to follow.

I had the bed liner out, the floor is extremely solid, as well as the inner wheel wells.

So $200 is cheap then? Someone here can have it for a good price then... I may ask $300 for it elsewhere. All I really know is I just paid $250 for an OK stepside bed, and had to pick it up in VA.

Definitely looks fixable :waytogo: I got my longed with no rust but a few dings for $250 about 4 years ago. With that said, I'd think longbeds would be considerably cheaper than a solid short bed. Is there any bondo any where in the bed?

No bondo that I'm aware of, just a few areas with a skim coat that's there to fill in previous boo-boos. The bed was originally red with the white two-tone and the trim.

I had offered a trade, but he preferred to have cash instead. It was interesting getting that bed from him, I basically had to offroad my 2wd Burb AND 16ft trailer back behind his house on a tight little trail through the woods. I also had to turn the whole thing around in a small clearing for power lines. It was crazy, lol.

Haha, oh. It was a '79 crew cab that had been converted to 1/2ton and the shortbed.
