I'm looking for a Dana 60 king pin passenger drop front axle for my 78 K20, not knowing much about the Dana yet and need help with a few things. what is a OBS GM truck frame? I've asked a few people on Facebook market place about their axle for sale and they ask me single or dually? How can a front axle be dually? Unless the front axle on a dually truck is different.

OBS refers to the gmt 400 trucks which are 1988-2002(the end date of the half tons was 97 i think, 98 for 3/4 or something like that)
They had a squared look but look more modern than square bodies. why do you need a dana 60? just curious. your 78 k20 probably has a dana 44 yes?

There is a differences in the hub to compensate for the offset of the dual wheels.

Thanks for the replies, yes, my 78 has a Dana 44. I wanted a Dana 60 in my last build and wished I would have done it, so this build is getting it. So, I can purchase a dually front axle and swap out the dually adapter for a single hub. That might work for me for finding a Dana 60 single for the 78 is almost imposable. Thanks again, Frank.

Yes, you just have to factor in the cost. A dually axle is usually cheaper because most people want a single wheel axle and new hubs are expensive. Iirc, the rotors are different as well.
