Does anybody have any good close up pictures of how this switch is supposed to mount? Or any "how to" help?

Here is my 79 column. Hopefully it is the same switch that you have.

What is the single terminal for, the one off to the side by itself? My replacement switch had that terminal, but none of the factory switches i have sitting around do. Just curious

I'm not sure, but it isn't used on my 82 with Auto Trans and tilt column. RockAuto.com calls it a "neutral safety switch/range sensor". Maybe it's used on later year models or on some passenger cars.???

Looks like it's connected to some kind of terminal on the left side. Mine doesn't have the yellow plastic slider either, which probably has something to do with the mystery connectors.
