That is pretty damn cool. Seems I did hear about this before, but never seen sample results and forgot all about it.

Thanks for the input.

I edited the title so we can find it easier and it come up in searches by title search.

Maybe I'll give this a shot, I have some CLR laying around, and some scotchbrite pads...a few spots on my truck could use it.

You ruined all the patina on that car.
Just kidding, never would've thought that there was still paint under the rust. At least that's what it looks like, even though saying like that makes no sense.

I want that '59.
MEEEEEE TOOOOOooo,that is NICE!!!!!!
Surprize the heck out of Me the way that come out, especially with all the rust.
I do`nt know how it would work out, but,Do You think a good job of a clear coat would protect what is left of the paint. It will need something to keep moisture from seeping back down to the surface of the metal and I thinking clear coat would be the best, even better than wax,I think.
Prolly some paint swhop gurus in here can expound on this.

That's actually getting quite common these days. Clear Coating these old cars in that condition to preserve them just the way they are.

I have seen a couple of pics of cars cleared,I think that would be the best way to save what is left.
I have had several cars/trucks that I have buffed out then waxed and it seems that after a while, the wax sort of wears down,or something then the rust starts to resurface.Kind of a losing battle when trying to preserve "Old Paint" what I named one of My old rusticated pickups, give it an Indian Name.:emotions33::happy160::happy175:
