The steering wheel of my k5 started to disintegrate more and more and was really sticky.
I wanted a non sticky original and stumbled over the repro from classic parts. It comes for $224.95 w/o horn button. The spring assembly for the horn button comes with the wheel.
The quality is really good it's a great repro. Feels good to touch and no extreme plastic fumes when unpacking.
I can recommend it for everyone who wants an original appearing steering wheel.

I just bought and original wheel off of ebay for 90 bucks so this isnt too bad of a deal. Looks really nice too.

I just bought the same wheel and installed it in my 77 K10 to replace the gummed up original. I agree that it is a very high quality piece. I'm extremely happy with it.

Ooouh, what is happening to that wheel? It looks like it's got a disease. Are those blisters on it? OMG! Burn that thing.

Yeah, it looks really nasty, is sticky like hell and that are blisters...at least it doesn't stink :D

You need to contact perryis5150 and let him know where you got your steering wheel, he's in need of one to replace the one he's got.

Don't you get the "Weekly popular posts" in you email? His is the one "Steering wheel".

I find the trucks with a factory tach very interesting. When I rebuilt my truck I didn't even know there were aftermarket places where you could get stock gauges. Of course i felt that Auto Meter gauges were cool and I went in that direction instead of factory. In your pic it appears the tach has, 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and so on up to 8 is that correct? It's odd that it has the lower numbers like it does. Any reason that you've heard or have figured out why GM did it that way? Or it is what it is? Do those lower rpm's indicated help you in any way? Or am I seeing things?

The factory tach has markings in increments of 5, on up to 50 (5000 rpm). The lower markings are useful for checking idle speed, whether the choke is still on, etc.

The tach markings go from 0 to 50 in increments of 5. The markings are x 100 RPM so the "5" marking is 500 RPM and the "50" marking is 5000 RPM. The truck idles at 700 RPM so the lower markings are very useful. The factory tach on my 2011 Silverado goes from zero to 6 with hash marks in between each whole number and it is x 1000 RPM so the first hash mark between zero and 1 is 500 RPM and the "6" is 6000 RPM. Basically the same.
