After dying the carpet and trying to fit it, appears it’s not wide enough. Appears to be 1-2” short on each side along the angle. I haven’t cut the floor shift hole in fear I will make it mostly useless if it truly isn’t wide enough and it fits a different model. It doesn’t have much stretch either? Maybe a heat gun will make it stretch some? Do I have the wrong carpet for the hump height? Did it shrink in the 180F dye bath? I removed it from a 1985 k20 automatic. The dark brown color looks good.

Low hump carpet in a high hump truck? If you took it out of a high hump and going back to a high hump there shouldn't be an issue. What year is the truck you are putting it in? There is a hump difference in the years.

Different between years and between 2 wheel and 4x4

1983 K20, I wasn’t paying close attention to low or high hump when I removed it. It used to have a beat up rubber mat in it so I can’t compare it to that either. I assumed the tag on the carpet covered my 83 floor shift 4 WD.

The first thing I see on the tag is it list from 73-87 which I would assume is a huge red flag other than maybe it was a trim to fit ordeal but it's finished off on the side so that doesn't seem to be the case.

I think 4WD Automatic is high hump and manual gearbox 4WD is low hump.

This k30 hump looks very similar to mine which I found on the WWW. And, could explain why it doesn’t fit.
