The fender brackets may have been dealer/owner installed.

There were slide-in campers specific to crew cabs available, so those could have used the fender brackets too.

There is supposed to be 2 sets of shocks. One set in the bed/back of cab and the other set bolts to front fenders and go vertical to the camper. In the case of my crew cab the vertical shock apperently bolt to the pillar between the front and rear doors
Oh I get it.. thanks. Wow what a Rube Goldberg setup.

Here is a picture of my truck with those front fender brackets still mounted. It is the chrome bracket near the top of the fender right next to the windshield and door.

On the side of the trucks there are holes for the tie downs as well

( for the Campers).
