Do you happen to have any pictures of this mirror shell?
I know on our 78 shop truck, the rectangular mirror got smacked and it knocked the glass loose. We had a glass company down the street, and they were a customer at our parts store. They were able to cut a new mirror using the gasket as a pattern, and it fit perfectly.
This is what im working with.

And no, they're not on a squarebody, but they used to be, haha. Came off a 75 C30 dually at the junkyard. Currently on a 68 Dodge W300 Power Wagon dump truck. I retro fit...

I may go with that option. I have one of those cheapy mirrors in my stash, and i think they sell them at my local parts store. Thatd be easiest..

I have these and I think I still have your address! Not going to use them! And I have the 4 point ones you sold me that I'm not using either.

Those look familiar, haha.

Well if they were for me or one of my toys, i would gladly buy them back from you, but these are going for a client. And he won't care if they're original or the cheapy plastic ones, so i think ill go that route. Plus i know this guy,im sure he'll smash them off in the first month, haha.
Thank you very much though. Ill keep that in mind
